Gamechanger FENO Machine Supports Asthmatic Children in Tameside

Evie is just one of the asthmatic children in Tameside who will be helped by the new FENO machine now in use in the area's hospitals with funding help from NORFOX to complete its purchase.

Tameside has the highest number of children's emergency admissions for this condition in England and Wales and the machine is now helping the medical staff to diagnose and treat it effectively.

Medical staff can now gauge how good or bad the airway inflammation is by using it and reassure the anxious child by demonstrating its use to get better control of their condition

A spokesperson from Tameside Hospitals said; 'It's an absolute gamechanger for our service and patients in Tameside.'
